Hi everyone! Thank you for your comments. Here are some questions I would like to ask about Japanese culture and your way-of-life:

- How do you feel about studying in a university for women only?
- What perception do you have of Portugal and of the Portuguese?
- What sort of activities do you have in your free-time?

Everyone involved in this project is studying at a professional school which is part of the Portuguese Navy. Would any of you like to join the armed forces of your country?

The text we'll be studying in the next few days was written by Kazuo Ishiguro and is entitled 'A Family Supper.' Have you ever read it? Amongst other things, it talks about a fish called 'fugu'. Tell us more about this.

Thank you very much and talk to you soon.
Daniel Neto

PS: We are using a learning platform (Moodle) as part of our lessons. Take a look at http://www.dfneto.net/moodle. Your teacher will give you the enrolment key and help you sign up for an account

Hi Kobe students, my name is Paulo and I'm 28 years old and I'm an only child.

I live near Lisbon but was born in the south of Portugal(Algarve)near the best beaches in the country.

I've never been in Japan, but I intend to go there some day.
Japan has always fascinated me. I love the culture, history, samurais, manga, anime and martial arts.

I have already practiced Semi-Contact, Kendo and Basketball.

I like sushi and codfish with cream (my favourite). But I eat almost everything;)
Candies are my doom,lol.

My favourite movies are Star Wars, Jackie Chan movies and Fantasy movies.
The series I like the most are Seinfeld, Bleach and Naruto.
I love playing games, especially RPGs like Final Fantasy.

Now I would like to know somethings about yourselves and Japan:

Have you been in Portugal?
What do you know about our culture?
What are your favourite food and What do you recommend?
What sports do you practice and what are your hobbies?
What do you like the most in your culture?

I'll be looking forward to talk to you all.

As our time zone differs in 8h, it's difficult for us to talk in real time. So, if you'd like that you can reach me in my Email or Messenger : kronoz@portugalmail.pt

Hello everyone!

My name is Tiago Pereira and I`m 23 years old. I live in Lisbon, portuguese capital.
At the moment I`m study to become sergent in portuguese navy.
I`ve never been in Japan, but I love to visit your country some day. Your culture is very interesting and I want to learn more about it.
In my leisure time, normaly, I go to cinema with my girlfriend. My favourite sport is soccer and I`m a supporter from SL Benfica.
In your country the food is very different from ours, but sushi is great. In Portugal cod fish and "cozido à portuguesa", are the most common plates.
Actually I live together with my girlfriend, in Pinhal Novo, between Lisbon and Setúbal.
I want to learn more about your fantastic country, things that you do in your leisure time and, if I some day have chance to visit Japan, which cities do you advise me to visit?

さようなら and
Good luck in your studies.

I have some questions to you girls too. I know a few things about Japan ( yakuza, Manga etc ). I have seen some Japanese movies like “SAW”.

What do you girls do in the weekend?
Do you like cinema and what movies do you like?
Do you like sports?
Tell me something about your country that you like.
